Picture Books for Fall

Because we own thousands of books (yes, it's true. Thousands.), I like to rotate some of our books. I have books separated by school subject (Ancient History, Middle Ages, Early Modern, Modern History, Biology, Chemistry & Physics, etc.). I also rotate picture books by season.

So, when the weather turns cooler and the leaves change color, these are our favorite picture books for fall:

Pumpkin Pumpkin. This simple picture book has been a favorite since our oldest was a toddler.
To add some activities to this check out these blogs:

If you're studying leaves don't miss these printable leaf coloring pages from Itsy Bitsy Fun.
Little Critter: Happy Halloween, Little Critter!. I know, it's not great literature. But my youngest kids love Little Critter and this is a favorite around Halloween.
The Berenstain Bears and the Prize Pumpkin. Another not great literature selection, but kids seem to love the Bear family and since I only see this one for a few days a year, it doesn't bother me as much. {wink}
Harvest Home This is a gorgeously illustrated book.
