- Homeschoolers Really Bother the NEA by Michael Lotti. All parents, not just homeschoolers, need to be aware of the mindset that children don't belong to their families or that some entity outside the family can decide what's best for children.
- What Books to Read This Summer from The Federalist. I told you that I love these lists.
Living
- Why I Don't Get Up Before My Kids by Kirsten Oliphant. I require more sleep than this blogger, but my reasons for not getting up before my kids are similar (namely: it's impossible and it doesn't work).
- On Right Size Buying (Plus 3 Questions to Ask Before You Buy) by Kristen at The Frugal Girl. This makes so much more sense than trying to be a strict minimalist.
- The Proverbs 31 Man by J.A. Medders at TGC. Great way to turn this passage around from our usual perspective.
- How to Conquer the Grumbles by Michael Herrington at TGC. Great line: "Conquering the grumbles may seem like a small part of building God’s kingdom, but because of what it requires, it’s a foundational building block."
Loving
- The Gospel is Not Clickbait by Scott Bedgood for Relevant. I get so tired of this kind of stuff in my Facebook feed, and I'm guessing this author does too.
- Talking About 'Inside Out' by Jeremy Pierre for TGC. I told you yesterday that I highly recommend this movie. It's a great one for inspiring discussion with our kids.
- Let's Not Get Trolled on the Confederate Flag by Robert Tracinski for The Federalist. My nutshell POV: it's time for this relic to be resigned to the history museums where it belongs.
- For the Love of the Game the Cardinals Must Pay by Philip Wegmann. Right on. The huge sports empires (see the NE Patriots for another example) cannot get away with cheating just because they're huge (or popular).
- I do not intend to dwell on the politics of everything that happened with the US Supreme Court this week, other than to say that I would sign on to this: Here We Stand: An Evangelical Declaration on Marriage.
I haven't blogged much in June, but I did share a round-up of what's been happening (BABY!) and what we've been watching: Life via Blog: June.
