I have so many books I've started but not finished yet. (Why do library holds, whether digital or hard copy, always come in at once?! This is one of the great mysteries of my universe.)
Two books I've heard about for a long time that I finally managed to track down via library loan:
Climbing Parnassus: A New Apologia for Greek and Latin
The Living Page: Keeping Notebooks with Charlotte Mason
And two books I have via our library's digital loan program:
The Best Yes: Making Wise Decisions in the Midst of Endless Demands
The Fellowship: The Literary Lives of the Inklings: J.R.R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Owen Barfield, Charles Williams
Of those two, I haven't even started the second one yet.
Recently finished:
Superfluous Women: A Daisy Dalrymple Mystery The latest in a favorite series. I think Carola Dunn has actually improved as a writer over the years. She doesn't make as many POV errors as she did and she's allowed Daisy to grow up without losing all her personality and charm.
Current Read Aloud:
We've ordered All-Of-A-Kind Family Uptown
from the library but it hasn't come in yet. And we're heading into a season of our children visiting their out-of-town grandparents in various combinations and permutations. We love these stories and are reluctant for them to come to an end, so I guess we'll be OK with stretching it out for a bit longer. (There's one more book after this one.)

Kindle Deals
The Mystery of History series is now available for Kindle. We haven't used this in our homeschool, but my mom used it with my younger brother. $3.99 seems like a great deal. (cover image is a link to the first book)
Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at Allby Karen Ehman is $2.99 for Kindle right now. I haven't read it yet but I've enjoyed other things written by Ehman.
The Green Emberis still free. Our oldest just finished it before our week at church camp and she recommends it.
Saved Without A Doubt: Being Sure of Your Salvationby John MacArthur is only $0.99 right now.

I'm very curious about The Fellowship. I have tried Climbing Parnassus, and own it, but determined it was for a later season of life. :) I do like this quote, and as a history lover appreciate its emphasis, but wish to have care that we put tradition & history in their rightful places. Like the good protestant I am :)
