I haven't added any books to my stack since last week. Although my library fines took a hefty jump UP due to some bad communication between my husband and me.
Oh well. A family that loves the library as much as we do really ought to include "Library Fines" as a budget line item.
Anyway, I don't have many bookish things to talk about today but I did want to share this great thought:
I came across this line about thankfulness in David Brooks' The Road to Character.
It feels like it fits with some of my recent reading (like The Entitlement Cure), but it also fits this week when Americans tend to at least pay lip service to the concept of being grateful.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! (And I hope you have some time to read in the next few days.)
