Today's quote is from Edith Schaeffer's Common Sense Christian Living:
She goes on to talk about how we live is a result of the choices we make with our time.
Seconds make up minutes, which make up hours, which make up days. And how we spend our days, of course, is how we spend our time.
It's easy to make excuses with how we use our time. So much of our lives these days is filled with non-important things. We do these things by choice, although we might not be aware of that choice.
Redeem your time. You can't just make a schedule when you turn 21 and it works for the rest of your life. Time is a tricky thing.
I'm preaching to myself here. (Or, I'm letting Mrs. Schaeffer preach to me, when I take the time to read this book...)

Not much, sadly. April has not been a great reading month, so far.
I did finish:
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. I'm in a book club and this was the April choice. I'm not sure how I felt about this one. There are things that I liked or enjoyed, but overall it left me flat. Most of the "twists" I saw coming. (Particularly the "What happened to his copy of Tamerlane?" mystery.) It's not a long or difficult read, though. And I thought the style was strong. I don't know, maybe none of the main characters grabbed me tight enough. It's not really a book I'm going to think about much.

We've been reading our Puffin Classic edition of Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales. Great use of language in these! And they've inspired some interesting discussions.
