If I had to guess, I'd say If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff gets read at least once a week in our house. (And sometimes it's more like once a day).
Others we own:
If You Give a Moose a Muffin. I think this one has almost been more popular than "mouse" for a few of my kiddos.
Other Books in the Series:
If You Give a Pig a Party. Relatable for anyone who has felt the "throw a birthday party" snowball rolling downhill.
If You Give a Cat a Cupcake. Just in case you've wondered how a cat would end up in a swimsuit.
Another book by Numeroff that my children have enjoyed:
In the tradition of animals should definitely not wear clothing (Judi Barrett), this ridiculous look at animals behaving like people is sure to make a child laugh.

Laura Numeroff is one of my favorite authors. I actually just went to her website the other day, hoping she'd be coming out with another "If you give a..." book soon, but nope. I dont know if I can pick a favorite, but I do know that "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake" is my least favorite. The connections seem like too much of a stretch...
I agree about the connections in Cat / Cupcake. Seems like there's another one that has weak connections too. But my girls love the mouse, moose, & pig original books.
