Don't tell the others on my list, but I think Robert McCloskey might be my favorite.

Our favorite title:

" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Make Way for Ducklings is just perfection. The story, the illustrations...I can't think of a single thing I would change about it.

A close second:

We've never had a hardcover copy of Blueberries for Sal and we've gone through three or four of the paperbacks. They're literally read to pieces. Our current copy is held together with scotch tape and hope.

Time to buy another copy, I guess!

Lentil. My mouth is puckering just thinking of that lemon.

Time of Wonder. Slightly wordier than some of his others. Still fascinating to children. (Especially those who haven't experienced the sea very often.)

Burt Dow, Deep-Water Man. Another one we don't currently own.
