Words on Wednesday - Christian Love for an Enemy

Today's quote about Christian love:
"the more bitter our enemy's hatred, the greater his need for love"
is a quote from The Cost of Discipleshipby Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

This is one of those books that I've been reading slowly. It is deep: rich and challenging on so many levels.

What I'm Reading Now:

Once again, I don't have a picture of my book stack to share with you. I haven't added anything recently, either for Kindle or otherwise.

And, frankly, I'm not reading much these days anyway. I sit down to read a bit (from one of the few books I do have in my stack) and then I fall asleep. I'm 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant (but who's counting) and sleep beats book almost every time.

Even reading has high and low seasons.

Current Read Aloud:

Still enjoying the antics of the All-of-a-Kind Family. My girls can definitely relate to this life in a family full of sisters, even if our life looks very different considering we live 100 years later and we're not a Jewish family living in New York City. I can't recommend this series highly enough - it really deserves to be better known.

Current Book to Review:

Savor: Living Abundantly Where You Are, As You Areby Shauna Niequist. This is one book still in my stack that I am working through.

I decided the only way to give a 365 day devotional book a fair review was to try to read it the selections for a month or so. If you're still looking for a good mother's day gift for a mom who could use some daily encouragement, this would make a lovely gift.

What are you reading these days? I could really use some good suggestions for my book stack (even if I don't get around to them until after the baby comes!).
