We have a busy weekend ahead. In addition to Resurrection Sunday (He is Risen!), it's also my niece's third birthday tomorrow. We're celebrating today with her and then tomorrow we're hosting my family's get together.

- No More Physics and Maths, Finland to Stop Teaching Individual Subjects by Fiona MacDonald at Science Alert. This is one of the built-in benefits of homeschooling: each "subject" bleeds or leads into another.
- Another Way to Learn by Kerry McDonald at City Kids Homeschooling. This is an unfortunate truth that many people would like to ignore: our educational system in this country is not broken. It's doing exactly what it was designed to do. If that makes you angry, then maybe it's time to rebel against the system.
- The Introverted Child (How to Honor the Quiet) by Emily Wierenga at The Better Mom. As an introvert myself, and raising several introvert children, I really appreciated this one.
- Don't Wait for the Mood to Strike to Write by Edie Melson at Novel Rocket. Her writing advice is always practical.
Living
- Minimalizing Kids' Toys (A Different Kind of Spring Cleaning) by Tsh Oxenreider at The Art of Simple.
- A Clean House and a Wasted Life by Tim Challies. He quotes one of my all-time favorite proverbs in this post. (Also the unofficial motto of our church's children's ministry.)
- When You Want to Do Great Things for God...And He Asks You to Keep on Being a Mom by Jennifer Ebenhack for The Better Mom. Much needed encouragement (at least for me!).
- 5 Areas to Declutter Before Bed to Start Tomorrow Off Right from I'm an Organizing Junkie. Practical advice.
- The Stigma of Depression by Tressa at Tressays. Loved this thoughtful, honest look at depression by one of my blogging friends.

- Why Christians Should Kiss the Courtship Debate Goodbye by Debra Fileta for Relevant. Newsflash: there is no "one size fits all" answer on this question. Let's extend to others (and ourselves) some grace on this issue.
- It's Time to Reclaim the Planet from the Environmentalists by Dan Ziegler at The Federalist.
- Everything is Awesome So Why are We so Lazy? by Joy Pullmann for The Federalist. (I think I may need a new category of links for all the things I save from The Federalist these days.)
- Your Questions on Indiana's Religious Freedom Bill, Answered by Bill Malor at The Federalist. Lots of conflicting stories out there about this bill.
- Ending the Real Rape Culture by Matthew Cochran. If you only read one of my Federalist links, choose this one. It's not necessarily easy to read, due to the subject matter, but it's a needed corrective.
- What to Ask Before You Get Offended by Timessa Lynn Leonard for Relevant. Wish I could give this one to so many Christians on social media (and elsewhere) these days.
- Why Stretch Marks Remind Me of the Resurrection by Sharon Hodde Miller for CT. You may have to be a subscriber to read this one (I'm not and I was able to read it earlier but now I can't), but I think many moms will appreciate this reminder.
- 4 Reasons to Believe in the Empty Tomb by Paul Rezkalla at TGC. "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said."
